Project Costs

The cost of the Centennial Dam is estimated at $259 million. The cost of the new road crossing and bridge is estimated at $54 million. NID will use state grants, and recreational revenues and other revenues to offset the necessary funding of the project, similar to the funding mechanism for the 1960s Yuba Bear Project.

NID anticipates strong community input and support as it moves forward with the Centennial Reservoir Project. The preservation of valuable water within the region is important for providing reliable and cost-effective water resources for district residents and our community now and in the future.
